Global Social Responsibility – Empowering Communities for Success
The CAMAC Group has always invested in the communities where our employees live and work. Our corporate social responsibility program is designed to uplift lives and empower communities for success by providing greater avenues for achievement, independence and prosperity. This corporate philosophy is deeply rooted in a holistic view toward building partnerships, of being value-added and of embracing a culture of excellence.
Our social responsibility policy is guided by an interest in furthering the areas of economic empowerment, academic enrichment, cultural arts and quality of life. CAMAC supports a diverse group of organizations whose leadership and programming exemplify these goals within the communities we serve.
In Nigeria, Allied Energy Plc. embraces a corporate social responsibility program that recognizes the needs of Allied's diverse audiences to fully participate in Nigerian society. We support this initiative by selecting projects that will further the collective community goal of enhancing the quality of life. This commitment is derived from a belief that when all people are afforded an opportunity to succeed, the entire society succeeds.

International Cancer Center in Abuja
In Africa, cancer kills Nigerians at disproportionate rates due to the lack of access to health care. To help reverse this devastating disease, Allied Energy Plc. contributed $1 million USD toward the construction and building of the International Cancer Centre (ICC). Allied Energy Plc. is the first Nigerian-based business from a major business sector to contribute funds toward the project. The proposed ICC will be a 6 billion naira, 250 bed facility located in Abuja and will be the first of its kind in Nigeria and in West Africa to offer access to preventive and palliative cancer treatment, trained medical personnel and state-of-the-art equipment in a treatment facility.
Allied Energy Plc. is supportive of the Centre's creation and the visionary leadership of Nigerian First Lady, Her Excellency, the Honorable Turai Yar' Adua, and her commitment to the people of Nigeria to provide cancer awareness, prevention and treatment through the NGO, Women and Youth Empowerment Foundation (WAYEF).
Further, Allied Energy Plc. has also sponsored in-bound medical missions and cancer awareness programming staffed by volunteer cancer physicians and nurses to provide quality prevention, treatment and palliative services to cancer patients in the rural and urban areas in Nigeria.
